Basketball has been a significant part of my life, shaping who I am both on and off the court. From my playing days through my collegiate experience at Fairleigh Dickinson University, and eventually transitioning into coaching and directing my youth travel basketball program, Top Structure, the game has continuously provided opportunities for growth, relationships, and life lessons.
After seven years of being involved in travel basketball, I found myself stepping away from running a program for the first time. While that chapter was closing, my passion for the game hadn’t changed. I wanted to find a way to stay connected to basketball while bringing something meaningful to my community.
That’s where the idea for Coast2Coast Hoops began.
I recognized that our community was missing a structured adult basketball league - an opportunity for players to continue competing, reconnecting, and enjoying the game they love.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized the impact could extend far beyond the players themselves.
What if the next generation could see the game through people they recognize in their own community?
Not just professional athletes on television, but everyday people navigating life’s responsibilities, challenges, victories, and setbacks while continuing to pursue their passion for basketball.
I want the youth to witness firsthand the perseverance, discipline, teamwork, and relationships that make basketball so valuable. To see that the lessons learned through the game don’t end when organized youth basketball does.
That realization helped shape a much bigger vision.
Today, Coast2Coast Hoops represents more than an adult basketball league. We’re building a platform that connects generations through basketball while creating opportunities for youth development, mentorship, education, and community engagement.
Because ultimately, my goal isn’t simply to build a successful basketball organization.
It’s to build something that our community can be proud of, our youth can grow through, and future generations can carry forward.

From the Vice President
Rebecca Bailey
Basketball has been a part of my life since the age of five. What started as a love for the game quickly developed into a lifelong commitment to competition, discipline, and personal growth. I attended Notre Dame Jr./Sr. High School, where I spent four years developing as a player and leader.
During my high school career, I helped lead my team as its starting point guard to back-to-back state appearances during my junior and senior seasons. We also reached back-to-back championship finals and established a program record for the most consecutive wins in a single season.
Recognized as a top recruit in the freshman class of 2013, I continued my basketball career at Penn State Harrisburg, competing at the NCAA Division III level in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). Playing at the collegiate level was a goal I had set for myself since the age of ten. Reaching that milestone remains one of the accomplishments I am most proud of.
The transition to college basketball taught me that every level brings a new standard of competition. Everyone is fighting for a spot, and talent alone isn’t enough. The question becomes how badly you want it and what you’re willing to put in to earn it.
Throughout my journey, basketball taught me resilience, perseverance, humility, accountability, and what it truly means to have that competitive drive — that “dog” in you. More importantly, it taught me the value of family, teamwork, and the life lessons that extend far beyond the court. Those experiences helped shape the person and leader I am today.
What does it mean to take everything the game has taught you and turn it into something bigger than yourself?
For me, it means finding ways to give back to the game that has given me so much. As Vice President of Coast2Coast Hoops, I have the opportunity to help build something that extends beyond competition. Alongside our leadership team, I am committed to creating opportunities, strengthening community connections, and providing a platform where athletes can compete, grow, and be part of something meaningful.
I believe basketball can be the ultimate model for life. It teaches you how to navigate adversity, work alongside others, embrace challenges, and understand that success is never achieved alone.
What if the game could do more than bring people together — what if it could create opportunities, inspire the next generation, and leave a lasting impact on our community?
That is the vision behind Coast2Coast Hoops. We aren’t just building a league; we’re building a platform, a community, and a legacy that we hope will continue to grow for generations to come.
